Carved Curves

There was a "photo guide" in the canyon during my visit, advising people not to include the sky in their compositions. That may be good advice for most—perhaps all—of the people in his group. However, with a bit of bother, it can be done to create beautiful images in which the sky adds an important dimension and color contrast to the view.
