Sometimes color serves only to distract from the mood and substance of the view. This photograph in color does not appeal to me at all. It's the lines, shapes and story that get my attention. While refining my point of view before making the exposure, my back was complaining about my contortions and I was complaining about my back. Sometimes I wonder what motivates me to make such a fuss, but results such as this are very satisfying. So there's the motivation. An added bonus with this photograph is a First Place Award.
