Through either good experience or good advice, some artists brought knee pads for the day's effort. I am confident that, in this case, it was a matter of experience. His picture of the shark was simple and well-rendered. To reveal the action of this work in progress, I took the liberty of reversing the image for the header photo on this page. The direction of his actual rendering, however, provides better balance and visual flow to the whole.
