Desert Collared Lizard

I elected to hike to one of the ruins with only one lens, a 16mm to 35mm wide angle zoom. Exploring the ruin, I encountered this guy. At 35mm, he was very small in the frame from where I stood. I photographed him anyway. I moved closer, and photographed him again. Closer and again. Well, my goodness, the little bugger was certainly accomodating, and I eventually got close enough that he dominates the frame nicely. Soon after, he turned around and trotted away.
