Horseplay
June 2012
The last time we did this (March 2011), we were on the beach in the evening. The riders were backlighted by sunset and, although I got several good images of them, contrast and light were challenging. Silhouettes were simple enough, but I wanted clear views of the horses and riders.
This time we arrived in the morning—and a beautiful morning it was! In general, photography from the south gave more manageable light. Photography from the north offered a simpler background. Either direction offered good reflections on the water of low tide. The only thing left was to compose the photos and capture the moments. The motor drive - and a bit of forethought - made possible many good photographs.
Once again, a special thanks goes to the equestrians. It was a fine morning of fun and photography. Be well!
