Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon, near Page, Arizona, can be explored in two parts: Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Upper has more obvious drama than Lower, and also gets more visitors than lower. The last time I visited Upper Antelope Canyon, we were packed in like fans leaving a football game.

Lower Antelope Canyon requires more deliberation for photography. Fortunately, there have been few people in Lower when I've been there, thus making deliberation possible. The images of Lower have less drama and more sentiment than Upper.

The canyon photos here are among my favorites. I have limited their number. This is a subject that leaves viewers jaded when presented with too many examples, and they do not take time to appreciate the individual images as they otherwise might. I invite you to explore each photograph and discover what each view "feels" like.
