A Piece of Nevada

There's more to Nevada than desert and Las Vegas. It's a good place for road fever and for photographing landscapes and relics of the past. The images shown below were made during a road trip from Tonopah through Austina, Ely and Las Vegas. Weather was hot, but also congenial enough to offer good skies and opportunities for photography.

Nevada is not what most people would consider an exotic location. That does not preclude making good photographs, however. I hope that these images will show that good photography is not so much about where you go, but is, instead, about what you see.
