Cayucos Polar Bear Swim

Last year, I made a few photographs of a similar event at Cayucos. Avila Beach drew a contingent of frostbite seekers, but they were in good spirits. Most were also a bit chilly on this mostly overcast and breezy day, but there were a few who didn't seem much troubled by the climate. We did enjoy occasional moments of direct sunlight which brought an immediate warming effect and good contrast for photography. After the plunge, four of us capped our cameras and went for lunch.
